In December 2013, it was decided that due to running insolvent, Charlie & Carter would cease trading and attempt to liquidate. Due to mounting financial pressure, an attempt was made to resolve all the outstanding issues by taking on a new director, in the hope a team effort could revive a struggling company. It is unfortunate that this was not successful.
From the moment Charlie & Carter was deemed insolvent, we have not traded. Due to a dire financial situation some orders were not fulfilled and these payments are still awaiting refunds. All card payments that were processed are still being held by our merchant banks, of which there are three, Payatrader, iZettle and Nochex.
As we are no longer trading these accounts have been frozen and we no longer have administrative priveledges over them to issue refunds. For anyone with an outstanding order that is due a refund you must contact one of the 3 companies listed above. Alternatively, you can chargeback these payments through your own banks. For anyone who paid cash through a Charlie & Carter representitive, your Rep will need to claim the refund and then issue you with cash.
Charlie & Carter are attempting to liquidate and have applied to be struck off the companies house register, which in time, will force a company winding up proceedure by the Governemt. Due to lack of funds a private liquidation is not an option. Because of this, the liquidation proceedure is out of our hands and will take significantly longer to complete/
We are deeply sorry at the lack of communication and the overall situation, this was never our intention. We hope that you can accept our sincere apologies.
